The Parent and Toddler Group runs in the smaller hall on a Monday Morning, 9.30-11.30am. The Manager leads the session and its activities and provides a welcoming bridge into the Playgroup Room. Parents/carers/grandparents are all welcomed and invited to stay and make friends with other adults, whilst their children play in a safe and stimulating environment and socialise with other children. Babies are welcome and a health visitor attends the group once a month to offer any advice needed, which has proved to be very popular with the parents/carers. A healthy snack and drink is provided for your child while you enjoy a tea/coffee, biscuit and a chat with other parents.

The Playgroup room operates on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning, 9.15-11.45am and an afternoon session on a Thursday 11.45am-3pm creating a full day of childcare, including lunchtime on a Thursday if required for those who wish to take up this offer. It has a caring, sensitive and dedicated team of 2, level 3 qualified and experienced staff, who offer a welcoming, hands-on, well-planned environment and fun activities catering for the children’s interests and needs on a daily basis. Playgroup practice is underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage and it has daily access to the newly-refurbished outside area, which benefits from an all weather outdoor canopy and both a mud kitchen and a sand kitchen. (Playgroup aged from 2 until term after 3rd birthday)
We are registered to accept the 2 year old grant, please ask for qualifying criteria.
The cost of the session is £10 and £23.00 for the full day session on a Thursday.
The Nursery Room caters for all the children’s needs and interests and is underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage. The Nursery is open every morning from 9am-12 noon with an additional Thursday afternoon session from 12 noon-3pm creating a full day of childcare, including lunchtime on a Thursday if required for those wishing to take up this offer. The Nursery Room is registered to take the Nursery Education Grant which entitles your child to 15 hours free nursery entitlement per week the term following their 3rd birthday, it follows government guidelines in respect of the grant offering flexibility for parents to use their free entitlement as best suite’s them, including shared provision with other providers. It has a caring, dedicated and sensitive team of 5 qualified staff in total with key people to ensure individual child’s needs are met and records are kept. All staff hold Level 3 qualifications and participate in continuous professional training. The Nursery Room’s curriculum/topics/focuses are shaped by the children, their interests and reflecting current training and ideas from the staff. (Nursery aged from 3–5).
The cost of the session if not claimed as part of the Nursery Education Grant is £12 and £24 for the full day session on a Thursday.
Please note all staff hold a recognised paediatric first aid certificate.
